Abe Klassen resigned as lead pastor of Steinbach (Man.) MB Church, where he and his wife Kathy served for 8 years. Abe has accepted an invitation to serve as associate pastor at Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon.


Graeme Isbister resigned as senior pastor at Sardis Community Church, Chilliwack, B.C., after 11 years of ministry, effective June 30.

After 6 years of fruitful ministry, David Eagle has left his position as lead pastor of Saanich Community Church, Victoria, B.C. He and his family have moved to Durham, North Carolina, where he is beginning further graduate studies at Duke University Divinity School. His wife, Alison, is currently completing a PhD in agricultural economics. They have two children, Joshua and Anastasia.

Ten Thousand Villages U.S. has appointed Doug Dirks, public relations representative and master artisan storyteller, as chair of the board for the Fair Trade Federation (FTF). “We are proud of Doug’s appointment to this important post with one of North America’s leading fair trade associations,” said Craig Schloneger, Ten Thousand Villages U.S. chief executive officer. “I’m confident that the membership of the Fair Trade Federation has chosen him to lead due to his extensive background within the fair trade movement.”
