Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary-TWU, a part of the ACTS Seminaries consortium, held its graduation ceremony at Central Heights Church, Abbotsford, B.C., Apr. 23, 2016.
“Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary Canada represents a new model for MB graduate theological education in Canada, one which is more accessible to pastors and leaders across the country,” says MBBS–ACTS associate dean Brian Cooper.
There’s nothing like talk of peace to stir up conflict. Fifty-seven pastors and conference leaders heard presentations on Mennonite Brethren history, the church, and pastoral ethics at the Pastors Credentialing Orientation (PCO) at MBBS-ACTS in Langley, B.C., June 8–11. But it was Doug Heidebrecht’s second session on the Confession of Faith, dealing with article 13, “love and nonresistance,” that awoke lively discussion in the sleepiest time-slot of the day.
Both the board of faith and life (BFL) and the executive board met in Saskatoon Oct. 14–15 and Oct. 17–18, respectively, bookending the 2009 study conference.
