Justin Majeau began as pastor at Lendrum MB Church, Edmonton, July 1. He holds a BTh from Vanguard College, Edmonton; served 6 years as student ministry director at Evangel Pentecostal Assembly, Edmonton; and serves as adjunct faculty in the pastoral program at Vanguard College. Justin and Ladonna have 1 son.

Nathan McCorkindale began as pastor of discipleship at Philadephia MB Church, Watrous, Sask., Aug. 15. He holds a BA from Bethany College and an MA in theology from Fresno (Cal.) Pacific Biblical Seminary. He previously served as pastor of youth and education at Altona (Man.) Evangelical Mennonite Mission Church for 3 years. Nathan and Nicole have 1 son.

Tyson Kliem began as senior high pastor May 30 at Central Heights Church, Abbotsford, B.C. He has attended Peace River Bible Institute, Trinity Western University, Fresno (Cal.) Pacific University, and Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, B.C. He served at Coast Hills Community Church (MB), Surrey, B.C., since 2006. Tyson married Marites Pineda May 7.

Steve Roukema began as youth/young adults pastor at Mountain Park Community Church (MB), Abbotsford, B.C., May 1. He holds a BA in youth work from Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, and has previously served as youth pastor at Promontory Community Church (MB), Chilliwack, B.C. Steve and Janna have 4 children: Jeriah, Ezry, Malakai, and Ariel.
Lorne Willms joined the Canadian Conference of MB Churches stewardship team for Alberta and Saskatchewan Sept. 1. Holding an MDiv from MB Biblical Seminary, Fresno, Cal., he has pastored MB churches in Coaldale, Alta., Glenbush, Sask., and Swift Current, Sask. For the last 4 years, Lorne has been human resources manager for Haul-All Equipment in Lethbridge, Alta. Lorne and Heather have 2 grown children.

Charlie Peronto, who will be pursuing full-time studies, wrapped up 3 years of youth ministry in Steinbach (Man.) MB Church in July.

After nearly a year of honing her ministry position at the church, Gail Alcock officially became part-time pastor of spiritual formation at Grace MB Church, Penticton, B.C. Gail holds a master of pastoral ministry from Carey Theological College, Vancouver, and previously served as associate pastor at First Baptist Church, Penticton, for 20 years. Gail and Mike have 4 children, 6 grandchildren.

This spring, after 19 years of ministry, pastor Paul Francis and his wife Kathy resigned from leadership at Gateway Community Church, Lower Sackville, N.S., due to personal struggles. As well, Paul stepped down from his role as part-time conference minister with the Canadian conference. “We are so thankful for Paul and Kathy’s many years of care and service to us,” says Gateway leadership, “and we look forward to seeing how God will work through this difficult struggle to bring full recovery.” Representatives from the Canadian conference are walking alongside the family at
this time.
