Bethany College, Hepburn, Sask., appointed Howard (Howie) Wall as the institution’s 14th president, effective July 2010. Howie has enjoyed a significant career in management and leadership in higher education, currently serving as director of operations and maintenance at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon. He has served on the board of directors of Bethany College for 10 years, and been active on the leadership council of Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatatoon, including for 7 years as moderator. Howie and Judy have 2 children.

Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, B.C., announced the appointment of Doug Berg as academic dean, effective Aug. 1. Doug holds an MA from MBBS, an MTS from Regent College, and an MEd and PhD from University of Saskatchewan. For 12 years, he served at Bethany Bible Institute (now Bethany College) in the roles of academic dean, dean of faculty, and president. He has served as associate dean and associate professor of leadership studies at MBBS-ACTS, Langley, B.C., since Aug. 2002.

McIvor Avenue MB Church welcomed Denver Wilson as youth pastor Apr. 6. Denver has a BA in youth ministry from Ambrose University, Calgary, and previously worked as young adults pastor at Sunwest Christian Fellowship, Calgary. He has also worked at summer camps including Camp Evergreen in Sundre, Alta., and participated in mission trips with Amor Ministries in Tijuana, Mexico. Denver is married to Jannalee.
