Regenerate 21-01
In 2006, three young church leaders decided to revolutionize the consumerism of Christmas by encouraging their communities to “spend less, give more, love all, and worship fully” the ultimate gift of Christ.
The Quebec MB conference, Association des Églises des Frères Mennonites du Québec, met for their annual convention April 4 at Église Saint-Jérôme in Montreal. Close to 50 delegates, ministry workers, and special guests assembled to worship together and hear reports on conference ministries. Following a word of welcome and a time of worship, Daniel Genest, pastor of the host church, gave a meditation on Hebrews 11:35–40.
The Alberta conference held three Regional Council of Church Leaders meetings January 19-21, in Edmonton, Calgary, and Lethbridge. Ewald Unruh, director of the national conference’s Regenerate 21-01, participated in the evenings of information, connection, conversation, and prayer.
Dwayne Barkman and Stéphane Rhéaume have joined the church health team as part of the overall ministry vision of Regenerate 21-01 (R21-01).
The executive board and staff of the Canadian conference met Oct. 24–25 to review and discuss the strategic plan for Regenerate 21-01 (R21-01), including actions to implement in the new year.

Responses from denominational leaders concerning Jim Holm’s resignation as president of MBBS
by ContributorPresident Jim Holm’s resignation in August was difficult for everyone at Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary because of the key level of trust placed in him. Jim informed the board of his extramarital relationship and offered his resignation. The board acted quickly and appropriately in accepting that resignation.
