Any time an event requires major changes to lower-income neighbourhoods, there are disruptions – and concern for those who live there. In B.C., the issue was addressed well in advance of the Olympics, but many critics say it’s not enough.
Thousands of Christians are joining their efforts to get ready for 300,000 visitors who will come to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver-Whistler. The games start on Feb. 12, followed by the Paralympic Games in March, so it’s a major enterprise with many opportunities.
