After interacting with provincial conference ministers, professors from MB Biblical Seminary and Columbia Bible College and leaders from CCMBC ministries like L2L and the C2C Network over June 14–16, 2016, Pastors Credentialing Orientation graduates received communion and prayers of blessing and commissioning.
MB Biblical Seminary
I’m listed as an adjunct faculty member on the MB Biblical Seminary (MBBS) Canada website. Until recently, alongside my name and in brackets, it also said, “retired.” That word, beside my name, irritated me, so I asked the seminary to remove it.
The news that a trusted leader has disappointed us through personal or moral failure grieves us. We hurt when we learn of disintegrating marriages, sexual sin, or even criminal activity. Often, that grief plays out in multiple forms – shock, sorrow, outrage, disappointment, and fear.
The U.S. MB conference met in Hillsboro, Kan., July 26–27 under the theme, “Transition Point: From a proud past to a promising future.” The timing of the convention coincided with the 100-year anniversary of Tabor College, the first MB institution of higher education in the United States.
