On May 26, 2013, Grantham MB, St. Catharines, Ont., celebrated 40 years of God’s faithfulness. An outgrowth of Scott Street MB, the congregation planted in 1973 was motivated by a desire to establish an English-speaking MB gathering in the heart of the Grantham neighbourhood. The anniversary morning worship service included a choir, a time of remembering, and a sermon from former pastor John Hiebert. At the reception which followed, another former pastor John Wiebe recalled faces and scenes from previous years with a photo presentation. Reflecting on God’s faithfulness boosts Gratham’s trust that God is leading toward greater kingdom purposes, as they proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to their neighbours. The congregation appreciates the leadership of pastors Tabitha and Michael VandenEnden, worship coordinator Ruth Wiebe, senior care coordinator Margaret Fast, and board moderator Bill Jackson.

Hafford Gospel Fellowship celebrated 25 years as a congregation in 2013 with a special service Sept. 8, 2013. Borden MB Church members began Bible studies in the area in the mid-1970s, then a church formally organized, holding its first service in the community hall on Sunday afternoon in 1988. Conrad Hunchak and his wife Lynne have been serving the congregation as pastor for 18 years. Hafford officially joined the Saskatchewan Conference of MB Churches in 1998. The congregation acquired a building in 2004, and recently changed its meeting time from Sunday evenings to
Sunday mornings.
