William (Bill) W. Veer died Dec. 5, 2009. He was born in 1929 in Hague, Sask. to Wilhelm and Nettie Veer. In 1946, he accepted Christ and was baptized into the church. Bill married Edith Neufeld in 1950. In 1959, he attended teacher’s college. He taught in country schools for 5 years and Saskatoon public schools for 15 years. In 1970, the family moved to Chilliwack, B.C. where he taught another 23 years. He was active at Broadway Church, serving as youth leader, church council member, adult Sunday school teacher, and care group leader. He enjoyed Sunday evening dinners with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother John, Bill is mourned by Edith; children Judy (Frank) Hoppe, Jacquie Meints, Terry (Carol), Glenda (Kevin) Campbell; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings; 1 sister-in-law.
