Tony (Anton) Nikkel died Jan. 6, 2012. He was born Sept. 24, 1924 in Gretna, Man. to Jacob and Maria Nikkel. He committed his life to Jesus at 20. After a year at Bible college, Tony moved to B.C. in 1946, where he worked with the cities of New Westminster and Revelstoke. In 1976, he moved to Abbotsford, B.C., to work in construction. Tony dedicated much time to church and community activities and the Gideons. He enjoyed time with family, camping and golfing. Predeceased by 12 siblings, Tony is mourned by wife of 65 years Tina; children Ken (Donna), Warren (Wanda), Bob, Debbie (Dennis); 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. The memorial was at Central Heights (MB) Church, Abbotsford.
