Stephen D. Davies died Oct. 24, 2010. He was born Nov 7, 1963 in Montreal to Reverend Lloyd and Florence Davies. Stephen became a Christian at a young age and grew strong in his faith. He excelled in his mining career, earning his professional engineer’s license in Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Stephen married Laurie in 1987. He enjoyed the outdoors, and Simonhouse Bible Camp held a special place in his heart; he helped build the camp’s new lodge. Stephen served on the board of the Canadian Cuban Project Team, a ministry of the Brethren in Christ Church, and was proud to serve with his children Elisha and Ben on mission trips to Cuba. Stephen enjoyed working with his daughter Bethany at the mine in Wabowden, Man., where he was manager. He was looking forward to his daughter Jessica’s Grade 12 graduation in June. Stephen died in a traffic accident on the way to work. The memorial service was in Snow Lake, Man. Stephen is mourned by Laurie; children Bethany, Elisha, Jessica, Benjamin.
