Sarah Wedel

Sarah Wedel died Mar. 28, 2010. She was born Feb. 18, 1912 in Halbstadt, Slavgorod, Russia to Henry and Sara Wedel. The family immigrated to Canada in 1925 and lived in several towns in Alta. and in Black Creek, B.C. Sara worked in Vancouver as a live-in cook and did day work. She was a member of Clearbrook MB Church and had a lifelong passion for following Jesus Christ and his Word, demonstrated in her commitment to evangelism and global mission. Sara enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and handiwork, and often donated African violets to MCC. When she retired in 1994, she moved to Abbotsford, B.C. Predeceased by 12 siblings, Sarah is mourned by her brother John; 2 sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
