Ruth Esther Janzen died July 4, 2010. She was born July 13, 1938 in Chaco, Paraguay to Jacob and Hulda Guenther. The family immigrated to Canada when Ruth was 12. In Vancouver, she met and married Henry Janzen in 1957. They moved to Aldergrove, B.C., where she became a member of South Langley MB Church and Trinity Western University’s staff. Ruth served the Lord faithfully by teaching Sunday school, singing with Henry in the church choir, and serving on the church kitchen committee. She was her family’s cheerleader at sporting events. Upon retirement, Ruth spent her energy on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 brothers, Ruth is mourned by Henry; children Julie (Albert), Karl (Wendy), Eleanor (Gerald), Theron (Heather); 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
