Remmet Van Mil died Jan. 9, 2012. He was born May 3, 1950 in The Hague, Netherlands to Jaap and Ardina Van Mil. The family immigrated to Canada in 1950, settling in Ancaster, Ont. Following basic training in the Armed Forces, Remmet was transferred to Vedder Crossing Military Base near Chilliwack, B.C. While there, he met and married Carlyn Stark, and accepted Christ as Saviour in January 1979. Remmet worked with Fording River Mines, Elkford, B.C. Remmet was baptized into Coaldale (Alta.) MB Church Nov. 4, 2001. Remmet was economical, hardworking, affectionate, and generous, and a great first aid and rescue responder. Predeceased by son Nicholas, his mother; Remmet is mourned by Carlyn; daughter Vena; his father; 3 siblings.
