When she was a teenager, Phyllis’s father became an agent for CPR land settlement, moving the family to Gem, Alta. Phyllis and John raised 6 children in Gem, where she taught Sunday school at Gem MB Church. They retired to Abbotsford, B.C. Phyllis took great pride in her dahlias and gladiolas. Six years after John’s death, Phyllis married Howard in Glendora, Cal. In their last years, Phyllis and Howard were members of Clearbrook MB Church. Though her eyesight declined in her last 30 years, Phyllis continued to love and trust God. She prayed for her family regularly.
