Paul Wilbert Tebbutt died Sept. 24, 2011. He was born May 31, 1927 in Broderick, Sask. to Wilbert and Gladys Tebbutt. In 1934, the family moved to Chilliwack, B.C. Paul attended Canadian Bible Institute, Regina, 1946–1949. Paul married Lillian Howatt Aug. 12, 1949. He pastored 4 rural Alberta churches over the next 3 years. In 1953, the family moved to the Vancouver area, where Paul became a financial planner. After 31 years with Investors Group, he retired in 1988. Paul enjoyed music, fishing, lacrosse, tennis, and golf. He was active in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church until 1984, when he became a member of Willingdon (MB) Church, Burnaby, B.C. There, Paul led Bible studies, taught adult Sunday school, and worked in the telephone outreach ministry, leading many to Jesus. Paul cared for Lillian until she died in 2006. He married Eileen Stelting Aug. 9, 2008. They enjoyed 3 years of companionship and travel until Paul suffered a stroke. Predeceased by Lillian, 1 brother; Paul is mourned by Eileen; children Roland (Margaret), Don (Karen), Brad (Jennifer), Lynn (Kelly); 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; Eileen’s family.
