Nick’s family lived in Minnedosa before moving to Berwahl near Steinbach, Man., where he met Anne. After helping his family recover from a flood in B.C., he returned to Manitoba to marry Anne and settle on a farm in the Bristol district. Nick did road construction all his working years. He helped build the Trans-Canada highway. Spring and fall, he took time off for seeding and harvest. Nick sold the farm and moved to Steinbach in 1987, and in 2000, moved into a condo.
