Nicholai Thiessen

Nicholai J. Thiessen died Feb. 5, 2010 at 93. He was born Feb. 24, 1916 in Blogodatno, Neu Samara, Russia to Jacob and Helena Thiessen. At 9, Nick immigrated with his family to Sask. and later to Coaldale, Alta. He was baptized as a young man. Nick married Anne Baerg Nov. 30, 1940, and they opened their home to many during their 68 years together. He served God faithfully. Predeceased by Anne in 2009, daughter Esther, 6 siblings; Nick is mourned by children Bob (Marianne), Jeanette, Paul (Evangeline), Gerry (Grace), Jim (Ingrid), Grace (Jim) Neudorf; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings. The memorial was Feb. 13 at Lendrum MB Church, Edmonton.
