Mary’s family immigrated to Canada in 1925, settling in Langham, Sask., where Mary accepted the Lord and was baptized. In 1928, they moved to Yarrow, B.C. Mary worked as a domestic to pay the transportation debt. She and Jacob first worked on a rabbit farm, and lived in Vancouver, then Calgary. They mourned their infant son Bernie. Mary served as deaconess in church. When health declined, she entered Tabor Home and continued to smile, speak, and sing as long as she was able.
