Mary moved to Winnipeg to study at MB Bible College and stayed to marry and raise 4 children. She trained as a counsellor at the Interfaith Pastoral Institute and Health Sciences Centre and earned a masters in education at University of Manitoba in her 50s. She became a trusted therapist, working out of her home and Recovery of Hope, Winnipeg, without losing sight of her first role as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
