Mary Klassen died Sept. 13, 2011. She was born Apr. 9, 1926 in Beechy, Sask. to John I. and Maria Gunther. Mary married Paul Klassen at Greenfarm, Sask., Sept. 29, 1946. They lived in Saskatoon and Hepburn, Sask., before moving to Abbotsford, B.C., in 1997. Mary faced health challenges including mobility loss, chronic pain, and cancer. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, loyalty, gift for making friends, support for her family, devotional life, and faith in God. Mary was a member of Clearbrook MB Church, Abbotsford. Predeceased by 4 siblings, daughter-in-law Sharon; Mary was mourned by Paul until his death Jan. 1, 2012. She is mourned by children Carol (Burt) Thiessen, Vernon (Andrea), Harvey (Lisa), Marlene (Dana) Braun, Earl; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
