Marilyn Joanne Thomson died Mar. 23, 2009. She was born May 24, 1942 in New Westminster, B.C. to Norman and Olive Thomson. Marilyn lived in Australia several years and brought back to Canada a love for parrots and exotic flowers which decorated her home and life with bright colors. She asked Jesus into her life at 38 and became active in the singles ministry at Willingdon Church, Burnaby, B.C. She loved children and was “Auntie Marilyn” to many. She faithfully cared for her parents until their passing. When she was diagnosed with cancer in 1998, the words of 2 Samuel 22:29–33 became an anchor in her life. Marilyn was a bold Christian and lived her life as an adventure, sharing her faith with many.
