Death_Margeretha WillmsMargaretha Willms died Dec. 19, 2011. She was born Feb. 22, 1925 in Waldheim, Sask. to Julius and Katherine Toews. She had a loving Christian home and the dream of being a writer. Margaretha was baptized into Waldheim MB Church at 15. She attended Prairie Bible Institute and Briercrest Bible College. At Bethany Bible School, she met John Willms, whom she married Sept. 15, 1949. Margaretha volunteered for Canadian Bible Society, the Gideons, served in pastoral care, and did mission work in East Germany. In the 1990s, she managed a Christian bookstore in Moose Jaw, Sask. Margaretha was known for her love of adventure, her interest in people, and her spark for life. She had a vivid imagination that made her an avid storyteller. At 84, she published her memoir And the Meadowlark Sang: Prairie Memoirs. With John, Margaretha prayed daily for their children and many missionaries. Margaretha is mourned by John; children Gerald (Joanne), Virginia (George), Valerie; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
