Esau_DeathsLewis Esau died Feb. 21, 2012. He was born Sept. 30, 1940 in Linden, Alta., to Jake and Mary Esau. Lewis married Alice Mae Cullum Aug. 27, 1960. He was a truck driver, licensed mechanic, and welder. In 1965, Lewis and Alice Linden opened a business, Valley Service, Linden. Lewis was a fair, patient boss who gave many a chance when others wouldn’t. After Lewis was burned when a gas tank he was welding exploded, he and his brother started Travel Lynn Trailers. Lewis and Alice started a poultry farm near Linden in 1975. For 13 years, Lewis drove bus for the African Children’s Choir, with Alice as tour director. In 1997, they retired to Linden, and in 2006, settled in Calgary, where they became members of Highland MB Church in 2010. Despite failing health, Lewis remained positive and strong in his faith. Predeceased by son Corey in 2002, Lewis is mourned by Alice; children Greg (Bonny), Darin (Donna), Bev Willems, Les (Kerry); foster daughter Cynthia (Kelly); daughter-in-law Susan; 22 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.
