Leslie Edward Harback died of heart failure July 28, 2009. He was born June 11, 1949 in Stratford, Ont. to Edward and Margaret Harback. Music was an important part of Les’s life. While studying for his BMus at Waterloo Lutheran University, he developed friendships at IVCF that led to a relationship with Jesus. He was baptized and later became a member of Kitchener MB Church. Les married classmate Louise Dyck Aug. 16, 1975. In his early career, he taught elementary school music, eventually becoming a private voice and piano teacher. Les enjoyed fostering a love of music in his students, whose needs inspired him to write two innovative books, published posthumously. He sang tenor in the church choir and ensembles, and scored arrangements. Les’s sense of humour graced many choir practices and foyer conversations. Les is mourned by Louise; children Becky, John.
