Lvoth_DeathsLena Voth died Mar. 6, 2012. She was born June 1, 1924 in Tiegenhagen, Ukraine to Peter and Helena Rempel. The family immigrated to Canada that fall. In 1943, Lena married Walter Voth. She had the gift of hospitality and expressed creativity by sewing, decorating, cooking, and in midlife, by oil painting. She eagerly helped others through involvement with Gideons, Camp Arnes, Mennonite Disaster Service, and MCC’s thrift shop, Global Gifts, and homemade blanket donations. As a member of Portage Avenue (MB) Church, Lena volunteered in many projects. Predeceased by sons Ken, Richard, Robert; 1 sister; Lena is mourned by Walter; daughters Sharon, Judy (Al Hack); 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister.
