John Wall died Mar. 18, 2012. He was born Oct. 6, 1923 in Pordenau, Ukraine to Cornelius and Sara Wall. In 1926, the family immigrated to Canada, settling near Watrous, Sask. John loved Hedy from the first day he saw her walking by his combine. They were engaged 6 years later, after he was baptized. John was a member of Philadelphia MB Church, Watrous, where he served as treasurer and board member. John operated a grain, cattle, and chicken farm for 47 years. John and Hedy retired in 1995, moving to Saskatoon in 1996. He became a member of West Portal Church, Saskatoon, in 1997. John had a dry sense of humour. His life modelled what it means to be a Christ follower. Predeceased by 2 sisters, daughter-in-law Laurel Wall; John is mourned by Hedy; children Eleanor (Art) Doerksen, Vic (Deb), Sheryl (Bob) Toovey, Gerald (Muriel); 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters.
