Jakob Driediger died Jan. 5, 2009. He was born March 22, 1920. For most of his life, Jakob served as a missionary in West Africa. He preached, taught, but also did mechanical work, construction, agricultural projects, and administration. On retiring, Jakob remained active, working with wood and giving his creations to others. He was a dutiful husband and caregiver, generous and trustworthy friend, and respected and loving father and grandfather. Predeceased by 3 siblings; Jacob is mourned by children Mark, Ruth (David), Rachel (Alistair), Rebecca (Tim), David (Debbie); 8 grandchildren; 5 siblings. The memorial service was Jan. 10 at Bakerview MB Church.
