Jake Thiessen

Jake Thiessen died July 18, 2010. He was born Jan. 22, 1931 in Coaldale, Alta. to Jacob and Mary Thiessen. Jake was baptized in 1951 into Coaldale MB Church. He moved to Vancouver in 1955. Jake married Elvira Kopp Nov. 16, 1957. His first love was his Lord and Saviour Jesus. Jake enjoyed music, especially the mandolin. He loved John Deer tractors and frequently attended tractor shows and plowing matches. Jake was a member of Mountain Park Community Church, Abbotsford, B.C. Jake is mourned by Elvira; children Sue (Norm) Born, Rod (Shelley), Kathleen (Glenn) Hafey; 11 grandchildren; siblings. The memorial was at South Abbotsford Church.
