Jacob’s family immigrated to Canada in 1926, living in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Due to drought, they moved to Ontario in 1937. Jacob accepted Jesus at 14. He played guitar and mandolin. Jacob and Anne prayed many years for children. They adopted in 1947 and 1960. In his youth, Jacob worked at the hydro and GM plants. Most of his life, Jacob was a grape grower alongside Anne. He loved delivering fruit for others to enjoy. He gave up farming at 82. He had a keen sense of business and a strong work ethic. He was always willing to help any way he could. Jacob wanted his family to know Jesus in a personal way. He struggled with health, but always got to church, Scott Street’s Wednesday Chat ’N Chew, and Tabor’s Thursday chapels.
