Deaths-Helen-LHelen and her twin contracted pneumonia at 4 months; Willie didn’t survive. She accepted Jesus as Saviour at an evangelistic service led by J.N.C. Hiebert. Helen loved sports. She attended 3 years at Bethany Bible Institute, Hepburn, Sask., where she joined the choir. With Cornie, Helen was involved in all aspects of running their mixed farm near Hepburn. She and Cornie were an encouragement to each other. In 1982, when they began to plan retirement, Cornie became ill, and died in 1988. Helen consoled herself with Scripture and prayer. She remained on the farm another 8 years. After moving to Bethany Court in Saskatoon, Helen began serving the Bethany community and Forest Grove Community Church. After 12 years of widowhood, Helen married Dave, with whom she enjoyed the Gideons, choir, church, and travel.
