Harry Kroeker died Apr. 8, 2011. He was born July 16, 1928 in Drake, Sask. to Jacob and Maria Kroeker. At 12, the family moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., where Harry attended Eden Bible School. He spend a year at Prairie Bible Institute (PBI), Three Hills, Alta., studying God’s Word, which would be a lifelong passion. Harry married Katherine Thiessen June 23, 1951. Harry was passionate about teaching Sunday school, working in boy’s brigade, and counselling at Camp Kakeka, Ont. Harry worked at General Motors 1951–1987. After he retired, he worked part time as a security guard, most often at the General Hospital. Harry and Katie then became PBI stewardship representatives for a year. They enjoyed travelling across Canada, to California and Florida. Harry loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was generous with his time and talents. He enjoyed singing in the choir at Orchard Park Bible (MB) Church, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and helped paint the foyer of the church last year. Harry is mourned by Katherine; children Robert (Sharon), Bernice (David) Faurbo, Brenda Stone; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
