Deaths_harderHarold developed a strong relationship with Christ during his year at Mennonite Educational Institute and Columbia Bible College. He met Gail while teaching at Tabor College, Kan. At Trinity Western University, Langley, B.C., beginning in 1968, Harold taught physics, became the first chairman of the natural sciences department, and co-developed the international studies program in the school of business. Harold earned a PhD in agricultural climatology. He was a fatherly, prayerful, humorous, and encouraging teacher. Harold prioritized his role as husband, father, and spiritual leader of his home. Harold was director of operations for MCC in Bangladesh, where he developed tools for local farmers. He served on MCC’s board and the missions commission at Northview Community Church. In 2007, he retired as professor emeritus.
