Gerald Wilson died Apr. 24, 2011. He was born Mar. 14, 1944. He was adopted at 5 by Verna and Alfred Wilson of Vancouver. He lived most of his adult life in Prince George, B.C., working in the mill. In 1988, he moved to the Philippines, where he married and joined the Church of Christ. His health challenges increased as he faced diabetes and heart problems. In his testimony to become a member of Bakerview Church, Abbotsford, B.C., in 2003, Gerald shared, “I realized while in prison attending the Salvation Army chapel that I must try my best to follow the Lord if my life was ever going to turn around.” Gerald spent his last 10 years as an active volunteer for Mennonite Central Committee.
