Frank lived in Calgary a few years. When he was 12, his family moved to a farm in Blufton, Alta. Frank and Marj met in Edmonton in 1967, and started their life together in Red Deer, Alta. Frank worked as a truck driver in the oil patch. He was transferred to Sherwood Park, Alta., in 1973, and to Fort St. John, B.C., in 1978. Frank became a service engineer with Nowsco in 1979, remaining in the oil and gas industry until 1990. When he wanted a career change, Frank and Marj bought Allied Tools. After selling the tool business in 2000, he did odd jobs until retiring fully in 2007. Frank loved to sing. Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash were his favourites. With his gift for humour, Frank could entertain a room with his stories. He liked antique cars. Frank loved the outdoors so much that, some summers, he took his family camping every weekend. He had a great smile.
