Elsie (Andres) Wiebe died May 13, 2010. She was born June 28, 1923 in Langham, Sask. to Jacob and Annie Andres. She grew up on a farm near Hepburn, Sask. As a young girl, she made a commitment to follow Jesus, leading to a life of service. After the family moved to St. Catharines, Ont., in the 1940s, Elsie met John Wiebe. They were married in 1947, and over the years, resided in Guelph, Ont.; Ithaca, NY; Vineland, Ont.; and Brooks, Edmonton, and Calgary, Alta. Elsie loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma, hostess, and friend. She served her church, the Gideons, and Mennonite Central Committee, and supported Eden High School and Tabor Manor. Predeceased by children Harvey (Lorraine), Stanley, Martha; Elsie is mourned by John; children Paul (Nancy), Tom (Carolyn), Marianne (Michael); 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
