DeathsElsieElsie accepted the Lord at 12 and was baptized at 16. She attended MB Bible College, Winnipeg, in 1946, where she met Henry. The newlyweds studied French in Brussels, Belgium, in 1948, then served in the Belgian Congo (now DR Congo) until the 1960 revolution. They pastored Yarrow (B.C.) MB Church, 1961–65, and various churches in Kansas, 1961–75. Elsie worked as a secretary in the Canadian MB Conference office, Winnipeg, for 9 years. Henry and Elsie retired to Kelowna, B.C., in 1986. After Henry’s death, Elsie led Bible studies, hosted missionaries, sang in choirs, and served children’s ministries at Willow Park. She moved to Winnipeg in 2000. Elsie prayed for her children and grandchildren for as long as she could remember their names. In spite of dementia, she never forgot God’s love for her and her love for him.
