Deaths-Elfrieda-PennerElfriede enjoyed learning, reading, and teaching. In 1964, the family moved to Canada, and Elfriede earned her teaching degree at University of B.C. She taught math in Germany for 7 years. In 1978, she returned to Canada to take care of her sick mother. After her mother’s death in 1999, Elfriede went to Brasil as a missionary, working in the administration of AMB, a benevolent Mennonite institution, for 7 years. When her health declined, she returned to Abbotsford, B.C. Elfriede dedicated her life to serving her family and people in need. She was forgiving, compassionate, and understanding.
