David Friesen died May 13, 2010. He was born Dec. 11, 1929 in Halbstadt, Man. to Peter G. and Susanna (Loeppky) Friesen. His wages from mining and construction work paid for fees at Mennonite Collegiate Institute in Gretna and for university. David married Marion McKinnon July 24, 1969. He taught Selkirk High School 1962−1985, but he was a prairie boy at heart. He attended River East MB Church in his last years. Predeceased by 2 siblings, David is mourned by Marion; 5 brothers; 4 sisters.
