Deaths-Ann-WiebeAnne attended Los Angeles school near Herbert, Sask., and Herbert Bible school. Caring for younger siblings developed her gifts of service and encouragement. Anne graduated from nurses’ training at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, in 1955, with an award for devotion to duty. She studied at MB Bible College, Winnipeg. After nursing in Winnipeg, Anne served 7 years as a missionary nurse in Paraguay, where her greatest joy was delivering babies. She also worked 2 years in outlying hospitals in Zambia. Anne struggled with health, but battled through and recovered to carry on with the joy of serving others. Anne retired from nursing in 1989 but never stopped serving. She cared for her elderly aunt Katie and baked zwiebach for Donwood Manor’s guests. Anne will be remembered for her enjoyment of her single life; care for nieces, nephews, siblings, and in-laws; her professional and personal mentorships; wholehearted service despite declining health; and love for Jesus.
