Alfrieda Grace Peters

Alfrieda’s family moved to B.C. when she was almost 1. As the oldest of 10, she had many responsibilities, including farm work. In Matsqui, B.C., she met Frank. After a brief courtship, they married. She became a busy mom. Her days were full of meal preparation, laundry, gardening, and canning, but she found time to express her creativity. As the children grew, Alfrieda’s hardworking spirit lent itself to volunteering. Her passion for quilting led her to MCC, where she served more than 20 years. Time with family and friends was her greatest joy.
