Deaths-Adeline-WiebeIn the ’30s, Adeline sacrificed to help her family survive, labouring in the fields, garden, and kitchen. The family sang together and relied on God. Adeline claimed Jesus as Saviour and followed him her whole life. During her 5 years at Prairie Bible Institute, Three Hills, Alta., she further developed her love of music. She sang in a trio with her sister Helen and Kay Ens, in the choir, and solos. Her mother became ill, and Adeline spent the next few years caring for her parents. She worked for Herbert (Sask.) Hospital, first in the dietary department, eventually taking her certified nursing assistant training in Saskatoon. She loved caring for patients. For 42 years, Adeline and Herb farmed near Herbert. She preferred the garden to the kitchen. Adeline loved having people into her home, and delivering baking or flowers. With her sister Laura, she visited her sister Helen in Africa. After Adeline and Herb retired in 2004, they stayed involved in church and community. Music remained a big part of her life.
