Abram Ewert died Feb. 28, 2011. He was born Dec. 8, 1928 in Risor, Ont. to David and Margaret Ewert. The family moved to Readymade, Alta., then in 1943, to Chilliwack, B.C. Abe was baptized into East Chilliwack MB Church and attended Chilliwack Bible School. In 1953, Abe married Katie (Pat) Krause. Abe worked for B.C. Forestry 35 years and donated inventions to the Gleaners in Abbotsford, B.C., in his retirement years. The family was active at Fraserview MB Church, Richmond, B.C. Pat died in 1998. On June 24, 2000, Abe married Chris Finch, his support through a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by Pat, 2 brothers; Abram is mourned by Chris; children David, Trevor, Barbara, Donna, Bernice; grandchildren; 3 siblings; Chris’ children and grandchildren.
