Abe was born on the family farm and lived there all his life, except the years he attended MB Collegiate Institute and University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. He graduated from Oakville High School and earned a degree in Agriculture and a BEd. Abe taught high school for 8 years, then farmed for almost 50. He attended the MB church in Newton. Manitoba Pioneer Camp on Shoal Lake was a place he worked at and loved. Abe’s grandfather, well-known MB preacher A.B. Peters, was a positive, loving influence on his life.
