Aaron Siemens died Dec. 1, 2011 at 92. He was born Oct. 9, 1919 in Hague, Sask. to Aaron and Sarah Siemens. He gave his life to Jesus and was baptized June 1941. Aaron found work in southern Manitoba on the Groening farm, where he met Clara Groening. They were engaged 2 months later and married Nov. 3, 1940. They settled in Winnipeg, where Aaron worked as an insurance agent, among other jobs. After retiring, Aaron and Clara moved to Chemainus, B.C., in 1979, and 18 years later, to Abbotsford, B.C. Friendly and outgoing, Aaron enjoyed music, carpentry, and gardening. He loved the Lord and studying the Bible. Aaron led choir, taught adult Sunday school, and served on the church board. He was a member of Clearbrook MB Church, Abbotsford. For 71 years, Clara was his passion. Aaron is mourned by Clara; children Pearl (Robert Chapman), Carol (John Money), Arlene, Andrew, Philip (Heather), Debra (Christopher Wedel).
