TORRANCE, ONT.

Just over 50 youth leaders (youth pastors, volunteer adult leaders, and student leaders) from 9 of Ontario MB churches gathered at Camp Crossroads, Torrance, Ont., Oct. 25–27 for a weekend of worshipping God, receiving biblical teaching, participating in team building & leadership exercises, and connecting with each other.

Ingrid Reichard (The Dwelling Place, Kitchener, Ont.) taught lessons in leadership based on the lives and experiences of Joshua, Moses, and Deborah.

Andrew Hiebert (Camp Crossroads) led fun activities that gave opportunity to bond and learn how to work together as youth leadership teams – teaching specific skills like clear communication, the need for diversity in leadership teams, and how to deal with conflict when it arises.

P&E ONMB_YLR 1“As a youth pastor, one of the things I appreciate most about this retreat is the opportunity to spend an entire weekend investing in a small group of my youth and my adult volunteers, having fun together as well as nurturing the leadership potential I see in them.  I also love coming together with my fellow Ontario MB churches and get excited when I think about what the future of our churches could hold as together we build up our young leaders,” says Sabrina Wiens.
