What would draw more than 100 youth from B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan to Hepburn, Sask., in the middle of winter to talk about giving up control of their lives? Bethany College’s annual Youth Advance event!
Feb 1–3, youth groups converged upon the campus to experience the college, engage in special games and activities, and listen to speaker Phil Wiebe speak on the theme “Yield” (Matthew 16:25). “We are here on earth to reconnect with God and bring people closer to him,” Wiebe said. He challenged his listeners: to do something in this life for eternity, you have to yield your life to God. “Remember, the only thing you can take to heaven with you is people!”
