Glencairn MB Church, Kitchener, Ont., is pleased to welcome Kevin Lewis as equipping pastor for youth and adults. He has a BRE from Heritage Bible College and a wealth of life experience including church planting. Previously, he was associate pastor of youth and young adults at Berean Bible Church in Woodstock, Ont. Kevin and Betty have 4 children and 1 grandchild.

Neighbourhood Community Church, Nanaimo, B.C., welcomed youth pastor Colin Dyck Sept. 1, 2009. Colin has a BA in youth work from Columbia Bible College. He interned at North Valley Baptist Church in Mission, B.C., and at Southridge Fellowship Baptist Church in Langley, B.C. He and Sarah have 1 son, Rupert.

Shortly after the Olympic torch passed by the church building, Feb. 7, Clearbrook MB Church, Abbotsford, B.C., held an installation service for lead pastor Ron Berg. Pastor Abe Unrau retired from a half-time preaching position in Aug. 2009. Ron served with the North American Baptist conference as regional minister in Alberta, and as executive director of the organization headquartered in Chicago. Previously, Ron was director of organizational development at Prairie Bible College, Three Hills, Alta. Ron and Ruth began serving at Clearbrook in January.

Well Side Community Church in northeast Calgary closed Dec. 31, 2009. Called Saddle Ridge Community when it was started by Grant and Carol Galpin as a church plant under the banner of Mission Calgary, the congregation held its first service Oct. 14, 2001. Charles Koop was pastor at the time of the closure.
