ACTS Seminaries hosted its 23rd annual commencement exercises Apr. 20 at Central Heights Church, Abbotsford, B.C. This year’s commencement was special for MBBS Canada for two reasons. First, ACTS, of which MBBS is a consortium partner, celebrated 25 years of God’s faithfulness to the ministry of the institution. Second, for the first time since MBBS Canada’s inception in 2011 president Bruce Guenther was able to read the degree-granting charter to graduates; thereby authorizing the degrees as conjointly conferred by Trinity Western University and MBBS Canada.

Guest speaker Ron Toews, director of leadership development for the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and former president of MBBS, encouraged the graduates to continue growing in their spiritual lives, theological formation, and leadership capacity.

The 2013 graduating class of MBBS-ACTS:

Master of arts in Christian studies
David Gibson, Jae Hwan Lim, Beverly Peters

Master of arts in marriage and family therapy
Rowena Au, John Ayers, Candice Babbitt, David Dyste, Robyn Koop, Betty (Pui Yee) Lau

Master of arts in cross-cultural ministries
