Deaths-Rudy-B-When Rudy was 3, the family immigrated to Canada. He accepted Christ as Saviour at 9. In 1943, he married Anne Klassen. Rudy devoted his life to sharing the gospel. He taught at  Elim Bible School, Yarrow, B.C., 1946–47, 1948–49. As Canadian MB conference evangelist for 5 years, he travelled Canada and the U.S. with the Messengers Quartet. He served the board of missions and services 12 years. He was provincial moderator, assistant moderator, conference minister, and executive member and chair of the Canadian MB board of spiritual and social concerns. Ordained in 1962, Rudy pastored Linden (Alta.) MB Church, 1965–68 and Central Heights (MB) Church, Abbotsford, B.C., 1973–86. Gifted in pre-marital, marriage, and family counselling, Rudy was also a sought-after camp and conference speaker. In 1986, Anne died after a short journey with brain cancer. The following year, Rudy married Anne Janzen, with whom he enjoyed many travel and ministry opportunities. As a “snowbird,”1992–1997, he preached in many campgrounds in Mesa, Arizona. His autobiography is aptly titled By My Spirit.
